Case Study of a Brachioplasty in Montreal

Introduction:

Cosmetic surgery offers patients the opportunity to regain their confidence by safely and effectively enhancing their physical appearance. This case study focuses on a 66-year-old patient who underwent a brachioplasty to remove sagging skin from her arms and achieve a firmer, more toned contour.

Patient Case:

The patient, a healthy 66-year-old woman, consulted Dr. Gaudreau with the goal of removing excess skin from her arms to achieve a firmer and more toned appearance. After a thorough assessment of her needs and expectations, as well as a discussion of treatment options, the patient and Dr. Gaudreau agreed to proceed with a brachioplasty under general anesthesia.

Surgical Procedure:

The surgery was performed under general anesthesia in a sterile surgical environment. Incisions were made from the elbow to the armpit under each arm. These incisions were positioned to be minimally visible, as shown in the photos taken two months after the surgery.

Results:

Two months after the surgery, the patient observed satisfactory results. Her arms had achieved a firmer and more toned contour, meeting her expectations. The scars, though present, were positioned in a way that made them minimally visible, providing a balanced and discreet aesthetic outcome.

Conclusion:

This case study highlights the successful results of a brachioplasty in a 66-year-old patient, emphasizing the importance of personalized assessment and appropriate surgical technique to achieve the patient’s aesthetic goals while minimizing visible scarring.
