This case study focuses on a 61-year-old patient who underwent breast reduction surgery to improve her comfort during physical activities and reduce tension in her neck, back, and shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patient Case:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The patient, a 61-year-old woman, consulted Dr. Gaudreau with the goal of improving her comfort during sports activities, particularly cross-country skiing. She also wanted to reduce the tension and pain caused by the size of her breasts. After a thorough assessment of her needs and expectations, and a discussion of treatment options, the patient and the surgeon agreed to proceed with a breast reduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surgical Procedure:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The surgery was performed under general anesthesia in a sterile surgical environment. Preoperative markings were made to determine the new position of the nipples and the amount of breast tissue to be removed. An incision was made to allow for the reduction and reshaping of the breasts. During the procedure, 468 grams of tissue were removed from the right breast and 428 grams from the left breast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
